Overview & Reviews
The value-priced Work Truck package is now available on both regular and extended cabs. Base models pick up cruise control, a sound system, chrome rear bumper and chrome wheels. An automatic transmission is now standard on LS models, and the V6 is no longer an option in this trim. Other updates include new polished aluminum wheels and 265/70R16 tires with either black sidewalls or raised white lettering. The Quadrasteer option no longer requires the buyer to order trailering equipment. There's also a new tonneau cover, and inside, you'll find underseat storage. Finally, Chevrolet has deleted the Silverado's passenger-side outside door lock.
- Roomy extended-cab models, strong V8 engines, innovative features.
- Cheap interior materials, questionable build quality.

An Outstanding Performer - 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
By lightbud32 - September 26 - 10:00 amAnyone looking for a truck, and by truck I mean one that can go to the store, turn around and head out to the field, then come home to do chores. This is the perfect truck. A reliable and powerful Vortec engine and low sticker price make this the dark horse in the full size pick up industry. Anyone who buys a Ford before driving a Silverado has made a gastly mistake. The trucks price alone is incentive enough to take one home today. Not to mention the smooth ride and power. A truck at the head of its class.

Silverado is PERFECT - 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
By mountaineer11 - September 26 - 10:00 amThe new Chevrolet Silverados are among the most perfect truck on the planet. Its extremely fun to drive, and is the most reliable well built vehicle ever made. The K1500 is very powerful and very stylish. Ford nor Dodge have nothing on this line of trucks. No other even comes close.

Great Ride - 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
By walt - September 26 - 10:00 amHas been a great experience driving this 4X4 Truck. THe suspension and handling have been superb. The 5.3L engine provides plenty of passing power on the road. Ive been getting about 18mi/gallon. Im 66" and what I really enjoy about the interior is the leg and head room. It was made for us large Americans. Try it youll like it.

Great Ride - 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
By speedy2890 - September 18 - 9:50 amIts a good truck. I tested out the 4wd numerous times and it has pulled me out of sticky situations. Could have more power , but Im also used to my other truck though. No noises or anything. Pulls trailers like theyre not even there. Kids fit great in the back seat. Doesnt turn on a dime though. But for the most part, I love it.

Truck with Class - 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
By Lee Brewer - September 5 - 7:53 pmMy Silverado is loaded on the inside from heated leather seats and XM Satellite radio to dark tinted windows and fog lights. The features available on this truck were great. I havent had a single problem with the engine, brakes, or transmission after 20K miles and I dont plan to. Runs well, comfortable to drive and it just straight up looks good.

Buy it ... Youll Love it - 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
By texascoins - September 3 - 10:00 amI traded in my 1500 LS ext cab, since the rebates were too good to pass up. Chose the Crew Cab since the added room inside was worth the loss outside. Better traction than the Ext Cab with posi, less mileage than the 4.8l, but ok. Great visibility, wonderful standard features, and a few options put this one at the top of the list. POSITRACK is REQUIRED, since all 1500s are like a cow on crutches in the rain. Another A+ for GM, havent been able to say that much since the 1980s. Very satisfied.
